Roadmap
What's next
⚠️ Roadmaps are intentions, not promises. Order may change based on field testing and what real riders ask for. We'll update this page when priorities shift.

v1.0.2 - First public release
Everything described on the homepage. In final field-testing before App Store submission. See full changelog →
Next
v1.1 - AI-powered battery learning
Personalised battery percentage and range estimation using on-device machine learning. After ~10-20 rides, VeloRadar will start adapting the discharge curve to your specific battery's behaviour - accounting for cell aging, temperature, and your individual riding patterns.
- Core ML model trained on-device - no data leaves your phone
- Continuously improves accuracy the more you ride
- Refined range estimation factoring in elevation, temperature, and wind
- Optional "show confidence interval" mode for transparency

v1.2 - Simple View & ride coaching
A fourth page in the app: a stripped-down Simple View with just four giant numbers (speed, battery%, power, range). Designed to be readable from a metre away - and to double as the honest hero screenshot for this website.
- Simple View - minimal one-glance dashboard
- Ride coaching: "you're 5km from your usual turnaround, battery at 42%"
- Researching accelerometer-based crash detection
- iCloud sync for trip history archive (opt-in)

Beyond
Bigger ideas we'd love to do but aren't priorities yet:
- Independent watchOS app - track a ride from the Watch alone, without iPhone
- Strava direct upload after rides (currently you can share the GPX manually)
- Off-route re-routing via Mapy.cz API
- Support for additional Bafang displays - APT 580C/600C/750C/860C and DPC181 - if a Bafang owner with one of those displays shares a Bluetooth capture from the official app
- Voice navigation for hands-free turn cues
